The covered bridge in Kentucky is known as the Switzer Covered Bridge and is located in Frankfort, Kentucky. It was constructed in 1855 and is one of the few remaining examples of a Long Truss bridge in the United States. It spans 90 feet over the North Elkhorn Creek and was a significant transportation link in the early days of the state. The bridge has been beautifully preserved and restored over the years and is a popular attraction for visitors to the area. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been designated a Kentucky Landmark.
